How a funnel review actually unfolds

A transparent sequence for conversion funnel analysis for commerce applications—so your team knows what access we need and when decisions happen.

  1. Intake & access

We confirm goals, success metrics, and staging credentials. You name representative SKUs and any known fragile payment partners.

  2. Path mapping

Together we freeze step definitions—listing, cart, identity, payment, confirmation—so later findings refer to the same language.

  3. Observation

Guided purchases on agreed devices, session sampling, and edge cases (guest, coupon, multi-shipment) produce evidence notes.

Synthesis and readout

Findings are written as a brief with ranked repairs—not a slide deck of slogans. The readout call walks trade-offs: quick copy fixes versus deeper payment-flow work.

What we ask of you

  • A product owner who can unlock staging
  • Quiet on major checkout releases during observation
  • Someone from payments or CX on the readout call

What happens after

You keep the brief and backlog. Implementation stays with your team or vendors. If you ship a large change later, schedule a [post-release conversion check](/services/post-release-conversion-check/).
